Paramount Skydance Will Cut Around 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce complete information during its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the company retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
