Explore 29 Latest Game Cards from Magic: The Gathering's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set (Featuring a Commander Deck!)

The world's beloved pizza-loving heroes are making their way to the popular trading card game. The well-known trading card game's company, the game's creators, revealed a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion during a special panel hosted at New York Comic Con. Could this be a radical new set or simply another crossover marketing move? We'll let you decide.

Take a look here at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, including key background. All items listed here launches on March 6, 2026, except for one item — the Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27th.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before diving into all the various unique products and bundles on offer, let’s take a look at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion unveiled by the developers. Play boosters for the set are set at $6.99 per pack, while premium boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.

Let's unpack a couple of shell-shocking features. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, where players can play powerful creatures onto the battlefield when an attacker isn’t blocked. The big difference here is that this new ability can affect spells that aren’t creatures too. The designers also used this chance to clean up the ability a bit (Sneak counts as casting, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are we'll see Sneak in upcoming expansions moving forward.

“If we ever go back to the Kamigawa plane, we might use Ninjutsu because that's where it originated and it is iconic to that,” an experienced designer stated. “But on other planes, because the rules are cleaner and the new ability will be in standard, it's more likely we’ll use the updated version.”

That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai card, is among four special cards with unique artwork designed exclusively for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.

Oh, and, should you be surprised by the rules text on Turtles Forever, which lets you play cards outside of your main deck, so was I. But as per Wizards, it’s now a legal card in every format of Magic.

In any case, below are the highly unusual land cards with full art from the TMNT set:

Following the company’s current policy, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard format. The designers say they were careful to ensure the cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions such as Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the design for over a year and we knew it was going to be in standard and what other sets would be alongside it in Standard,” a lead designer says. “Our goal was to ensure that there's synergy with certain expansions including Edge of Eternities.”

For example, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities include a blue-red archetype built around artifacts.

“They mesh together to provide the components for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer added.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

Following a decision to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary cards that can serve as your Commander based on how you combine them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area instead of only one). Take a look below:

The Turtle Power precon is priced at $69.99, though the price may rise based on demand. Wizards told that it includes 43 new cards altogether, which means an additional 37 TMNT-themed game cards besides the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprinted cards if we assume the precon includes 37 lands.)

How will the Turtles version of Sol Ring look like? We’ll just have to wait and see.

TMNT Bundle (Standard Edition)

Typically, the company is offering a collection. It costs $69.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil basic lands
  • Fifteen Regular land cards
  • Two helper cards
  • One Foil promotional card
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • 1 Card-storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it is packaged in what looks like a pizza box. Each Pizza Bundle costs $99.99 and includes the items below:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • 1 Collector Booster
  • Twenty-five Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • Five Traditional foil pizza basic lands
  • Two Traditional foil Pizza Bundle promotional cards
  • 2 helper cards
  • One Large life tracker
  • One Card-storage box

If you’re wondering about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s basically a reprint of an older card with brand-new TMNT artwork. Wizards revealed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces onto a pizza slice. There are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards in total.

The Pizza Bundle launches a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This special bundle is designed for a four-player draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

  • 12 Standard Boosters (the perfect amount four people to draft)
  • 1 Premium Booster (also known as, the prize for coming in first)
  • Ninety Regular land cards (to build your deck)
  • Ten Non-foil double-sided tokens
  • One drafting guide (a one-sheet guide to drafting the set)

Turtle Team-Up

Finally, the developers are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its ongoing effort to develop Magic products aimed at new players. In this case, the cooperative set is a unique product of decks that allow two players join forces to face a “Boss” enemy deck that plays automatically.

The general idea is that each Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures included in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically plays one other card per turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
